– Ensure On is enabled. We enabled the on because this shows that you will get notifications from your WhatsApp.
– App icon badges is enabled. We also enabled this option since you will understand that you are getting a notification from WhatsApp.
– Group notifications are disabled. It is because group notifications can be really a pain when you enter a group.
– Message notifications are enabled. This is a the best option for know that you have a new message.

– Media playback is enabled.
– Sending media is enabled.

Permissions
– Enable camera. We enable this because if you don’t give permission to WhatsApp to access your camera, you can’t use video call, video recording and also snapping pictures.
– Contacts. The best option is enable for contacts. We allow WhatsApp to reach our contacts because if we disable it, you won’t see any contact names but only phone numbers.
– Location. This is very optional but you need it for sending location and live location sharing.
– Microphone. Please enable this option if you want to use voice call and video call on your phone.

Keep this option as enable because it will give you better usage experience when you are talking people on the application. It is a good WhatsApp setting to improve user experience with the app.
Install Unknown apps

Setup WhatsApp Messenger Settings on Android
There are various settings in WhatsApp messenger. You can see all of those options below.
Account
You can find account settings below. There are different settings for each purposes on WhatsApp.
Privacy
– Go WhatsApp > Menu > Settings > Account > Privacy
– Last Seen > Select My Contacts
– Profile Photo > Select My Contacts
– About > Select My Contacts
– Status > Select My Contacts
– Read Receipts > Mark this option.
Why did we picked My Contacts for the most of WhatsApp privacy settings. We picked this option because if you set most of those for Nobody, people can think that you have blocked them. We haven’t also picked Everyone because people out of your contacts can reach your information and data.
Security
– Go WhatsApp > Menu > Settings > Account > Security > Disable Security Notifications
We disabled this option because it is not necessary much. You don’t gain extra security with enable it. You only get notifications. There is not also anything to do with it.
Two-step verification
We recommend you to disable this option. It is also set as disable by default when you install the application. If you don’t have someone else that uses your phone, you don’t already need this.
Change Phone Number
You only need this when you have a new phone number.
Chats
– Go WhatsApp > Menu > Settings > Chats
– Enter is send. You will need to disable Enter is send. It is because this can cause a trouble for you when texting messages. You can send messages to people accidentally.
– Font size. Select Medium for Font Size. It is also default WhatsApp setting.
– Wallpaper. This is very optional.
– Chat backup. Enable auto backup to Google Drive.
– Show media in gallery. Enable this option because it will make things easier for you when you need an image from WhatsApp.
If you want to have a simple chat background on your conversations, you don’t also need to have a wallpaper. However if you want some changes at background, you will need to download an app for this.
Notifications
– Go WhatsApp > Menu > Settings > Notifications
– Conversation tones. This is very optional.

About group notifications: If you also disabled group notifications with phone settings as we have shown, you will not need to setup group notifications.
