I don’t recommend this at all because at the end you won’t able to use your phone. I have tried this with a few guidelines on internet and my Asus phone is completely out of service at the moment. If you would like to use Linux in your phone instead of other operating systems, I recommend you to look for other phone brands (or other ASUS phone) which is really supporting Linux OS officially. Otherwise this is really dangerous thing to do for your phone. Now I can’t even recover my photos, WhatsApp messages and my contacts. I have sent it to the service but they have told me there is nothing to do. I think It is just a garbage now.
You can find decent phones which can support to Linux phones. You can google it.
I agree to Berglind at all. However it is still possible to use Linux OS on ASUS devices. However you shouldn’t do it on your own because you are not a phone expert. You will need to go to a good and experienced phone service and ask them to do it for you. If you don’t have much idea about operating systems and phones (technically), I also recommend you to avoid to do this process on your own. Otherwise you can harm your phone. Can you use Linux on your Phone? Yes you can… But again… You shouldn’t do it…
