It seems there is not any solution for this. Have you contacted WeChat for this issue? Did they answer you?
I think you are correct. I did contact WeChat as advised in a few places I found Googling around. My sense after reading all the online posts I found is that WeChat used to review and unblock ‘false positives’ but is likely now overwhelmed with how many requests they’re receiving so longer handling. The only answer seems to be trying to create a new account, advisedly on a different device and hope for the best. Bizzare business model.
