I would like to make some Chinese friends and I have heard that Renren is a good option for this. Is there any English version of this website and application of it on Android?

There is not any application of Renren on Android and Play Store because Chinese government doesn’t want foreigners in Renren. When China has banned Facebook from the country, they had concerns that they couldn’t control it fully. Facebook also didn’t want to be under the control of Chinese government. After the ban, China has created Renren and replaced it with Facebook. It has a little bit different concept. However it is not possible to enter to the application or website as a foreigner.
Said well… However you can register to the Renren with WeChat account. They are still asking for a Chinese phone to enter to the video chat though.
There is not any application of Renren if you are living outside of the China. However there are still some websites which are providing APK of it. However I should remind you that APKs can be outdated, glitchy, buggy and they can contain malware. So I can’t tell you to download. I made a little search for you and I found an application on APKpure. You can download the APK from there.
