As it is known, Facebook has two different applications which are actually the same thing (at least for me), Facebook and Facebook Lite. Why Facebook has two different applications. Is there any difference between these two applications? Which do you recommend me to use?
Facebook Lite is the lighter version of Facebook app. You can use the limited features with the lite version. It is also lightweight for your phone. The looking of the applications are totally different. The normal version has a modern looking but the lite version is a little bit old looking. Actually I can tell you that the lite version of the app is looking like an old Facebook times. So that may help you to have some nostalgia. Other than that you will able to use the important features of the app on your phone.
Basically if you are using an old version of Android, you will need to use the Facebook lite instead of the normal version. It will be perfect for your phone and you will able to use the full features of the application. If you are trying to use the normal version in old phone, it will crush much and will take your time. If you have a new phone use the normal version, if you have the old phone, use the lite version!
As far as I know the lite version of the application is 2 MB maximum but the normal version is 50 MB. The normal version can take huge spaces on your phone with cache and etc. It will cause your phone to slow down. The app also will work slow if you have an old phone. As Askatasuna told you need to use the lite if you have an old phone.
Facebook Lite is not only for old phones. It is also for bad internet connection. If your internet connection has a low speed you will need to use the Facebook Lite. It is certainly awesome idea of Facebook developers. I was in a village recently and normal Facebook wasn’t working very good. When I ran the Facebook Lite it was working very good for me. I recommend you to keep it in your phone.
