Hello, I am from Kenya and I downloaded WeChat to make friends from China. However when I shake my phone, I always meet people from other countries of the world but not China. Why is that? Isn’t the app allow us to meet people from this country?
This is not about the language, however this is related with your region on your phone. I recommend you to not to change it though because your account can be blocked by WeChat. Then you will need to reactivate your account. I also don’t recommend you to use the application through VPN services and Android emulators. WeChat doesn’t want Chinese people to meet foreigners.
I believe you are not meeting people from China on WeChat shake because of the language difference. You meet people who knows English when you shake your phone. If you install the Chinese version of the app, you can meet some of them. I am not sure about this though. This is just an idea.
You can use VPN services for that. However that should include Chinese IP.
VPN can make him blocked from the WeChat. They don’t want their users to use it. There are lots of VPN users who got their account because of that recently. So your suggestion make people banned.
