If your WhatsApp Status doesn’t last after a new update, you will need to do the following steps on your phone…
Firstly you will need to clean data and cache on your phone:

– Tap Apps.
– Swipe down until you see WhatsApp Messenger in application list.
– Tap WhatsApp.
– Select Storage.
– Tap on “Clear Data” button.
– Tap on “Clear Cache” button.
Now run WhatsApp again and check your status. If it didn’t work, you will need to do the following steps:
– You will need to reinstall WhatsApp Messenger in your Android device:
– Firstly get backup of your chats if you don’t want to lose them at all.
– Tap and hold WhatsApp icon on the main page of your phone.
– Select “uninstall” button to remove application.
– Go to Play Store to get the application back.
– Search for WhatsApp Messenger.
– Download and install WhatsApp Messenger to your device once more.
