I have seen that many negative things going on in Turkey. I believe it is close to be a place like Iran and I need to visit there soon for business. I am not sure if WhatsApp is working in Turkey. Is it working there? If not, what application you recommend to use to contact my friends and family.
WhatsApp is forbidden in only a few countries. You can use WhatsApp in Turkey without any problem. I was at Aegean cost of Turkey in last summer and I have used the application for 9 days without any problem. The app has only blocked in China. However if you ever have a foreign SIM card, you can go on to use the application there too.
WhatsApp is working in Turkey without any problem. You don’t need to worry about this. I visited Turkey a week ago and I was talking to my family through the application. Ensure that you have a good connection for use a video call though. I can’t say that public internet connections in hotels and cafes are very good. Especially video calls keep freezing.
I live in Turkey and the application is working perfect here. However as same as Askatasuna told, you need to find a good connection to talk to your friends and family through video calls and voice calls.
