I would like to get a service from someone on internet. He told me he only gets payment through WeChat Pay. Can I get scammed through WeChat Pay or is it possible to refund the money?

I have heard that there are some scamming incidents in the past. I don’t know how they are doing that but I have seen someone who has taken 3 times more money after he made a deal with a company. I recommend you to be careful when you are using WeChat pay. It is a good payment gateway for most of us but it can be tricky at times. Keep checking your balance after you make deals. If you figure out that you scammed, it can be too late to recover your money.
I don’t think this can be happen every time since Wechat is caring much for the security. However it doesn’t mean that it can never happen. I have seen some complaints on Play Store reviews on these issues for a few times. But they are not much at all. All you need to do is being careful while you are making payment. You need to be sure that you are making business with trustworthy companies.
