Omlet Chat was my Asus phone for years ago but now it doesn’t exist on Play Store. What happened to application? It won’t exist anymore?

Actually when the app released at the first time, it was really awesome. You were able to find people nearby and you could talk to them. There were good games on the application. Even Asus made it to default messenger app for their phones.
However then voice calls and video calls appeared on messenger apps. They haven’t updated the app and it is the result.
Omlet chat is gone. I believe Omlet Arcade has developed by same developers though.
I had a chance to interview with the owner and developer of Omlet Chat for years ago. They had good expectations from the app but I don’t know what happened all of sudden. The application stopped the updates and developers disappeared.
Omlet chat was a quite popular application for 4 years ago but they couldn’t manage to use the good opportunity. They couldn’t update the application for years. Their application was against the terms of Google Play Store and Omlet Chat has removed from the Play Store unfortunately. It is because lack of interest of developers and application users.
If you would like to use Omlet Chat, there are still some APKs available on some APK websites. Does it worth it to download from an unknown source? I don’t think so. I recommend you to wait a couple of weeks. May be developers update the application and it can be alive on Play Store. Especially it needs some updates for privacy and policy.
I am not sure about this. There is no official statement from Omlet Chat yet. However since their official website is no longer exist, I don’t think that the app will be alive on Play Store again.
